Learn to drive in an automatic carAn automatic car has an automatic gearbox that changes the gears for you and only two foot pedals, the accelerator (gas) and footbrake, which are operated with the right foot. Automatics, by making the physical job of driving much easier, give you more time to concentrate on what's happening on the road. If you take your driving test in an automatic car, you may only drive an automatic after you pass your test. With 1st Attempt you'll benefit from individual driving tuition, all our lessons are on a one to one basis and you'll be be taught by a fully qualified and DSA approved driving instructor. You'll receive structured tuition following a logical sequence according to the DSA syllabus. Nervous pupils are welcome. How many hours will I need?Everybody learns to drive at their own pace so no one can say how many lessons you'll need. We will monitor your progress at every lesson and we'll give you honest advice on how ready you are for the practical test. As a guide, the DSA use a formula to estimate how many lessons you might need, based on your age (your age x 1.5).
